Title:  UNION PACIFIC'S DENVER-SALT LAKE CITY MANIFEST.
Description:  UP's daily M-NYRO rolls west at Orem's Lakota Junction with 101 cars in tow after making a 40 car pick up at Provo. Utah Transit Authority's ''Front Runner '' trackage can be seen swooping off the to the right in the foreground with Maple Mountain in the distance. In tow is UP SD40-2 No.3680 heading for Roper Yard in Salt Lake City for it's 90 day inspection, 3680 has been working on the LJL 57 (Provo-Lynndyl Local). 6295 is former Southern Pacific GE AC4400 No. 218 built in 1995.

Description:  Rio Grande Tunnel Motors 5400, 5360, 5405 lead the infamous ''Dirty Dirt Train'' On the Historic Sunnyside Branch. Number 5360 in the middle is just smoking it up on the two percent grade. By this date and time, it would've been a chance encounter to see three Rio Grandes on train out in the middle of nowhere working beyond their years.

Description:  Two former Missouri Pacific GP15-1's ''Baby Tunnel Motors'', Lead a short train into Provo at the University Avenue Overpass. New ballast has been laid on this section of the former Rio Grande Mainline for the installation of a new crossover behind the train. To the left of 555 and it's train is where the original UP Provo Subdivision once was. It was ripped out to make way for UTA's Frontrunner Project. New rails laying aside main two are part of the new Frontrunner Project.

Title:  Southern Pacific's Minnesota Taconite At Castilla,Utah August 28,1994.
Description:  Southern Pacific SD40T-2 8552 and four Wisconsin Central SD45's are in charge of one of SP's early taconite trains bound for Geneva Steel near Provo. In 1994,Southern Pacific made an agreement with Geneva Steel that it could deliver Minnesota Iron Ore for a cheaper price than what UP could. As a result,SP won the contract. This was to be short lived however,Just two years later in 1996,The Minnesota Taconite Trains would be back in Union Pacific Hands.
