Union Pacific's West Colton-North Platte manifest departs Provo with a 180 car train after setting out SP 319 and UP 6393. UP 6814 works on the rear as a D.P.U. Locomotive. This the first time I've ever seen a train in Provo with that kind of motive power distribution.,Let alone a manifest with 180 cars! Rio Grande or even Southern Pacific never ran trains that long through Provo. Utah Transit Authority's ''Front Runner'' track can be seen in the foreground which is scheduled to open next year. |
